This cottage lies between the Zelezne Mountains and Zdarske Vrchy by the river Doubravka in the Highlands Region of the Czech Republic.  It is situated in the middle of the country with the nearest villages 5km away.  The nearest town is Chotebor, where the nearest train and bus station can be found, but the owners are able to pick up guests from the nearest bus stop and bring them to the accommodation.  The nearest public swimming is available at Lake Balaton (6km), a dam in Chotebor (7km) or a dam Sec (15km).  Different water sports are also possible as well as boat rental.

Accommodation

There are two spacious bedrooms with four beds in each room.  A cot is also available if requested. There is a dining room/kitchen which is fully equipped together with a fridge and a cooker. It is possible to arrange a microwave if required.  

The bathroom comes complete with shower, a hair dryer and an iron.  Our guests can enjoy a bar and a variety of books and games are supplied with a TV and radio.  Guests can either eat in using the kitchen facilities provided or if prefered they can try the variety of cuisine on offer nearby, including in the town of Chotebor itself.  Within the grounds, there is also a large garden with garden furniture, swimming pool (3.2m in diameter and 0.9m deep) and large barbeque.  There is also space for bicycle storage.

Culture

Tourist attractions include walking and cycling in the well known stony valley of river Doubravka with a view of Cerstuv stolek (Devil’s Table) on Sokolohradech.  You can also visit a chateau in Chotebor.  In Zdar nad Sazavou you can see a baroque church (part of UNESCO) or enjoy swimming in Pilska Nadrz or Velke Darko where you can enjoy a variety of sports.  You can also visit an open air museum Vesely Kopec near Hlinsko and a glass factory Beranek in a small village Skrdlovice.  During winter you can go cross-country skiing straight from your door step or you can find some quality slopes nearby.
