Detached cottage near the sea
We stayed in this cottage one summer. It is in a fab location, as it's not only close to the beach, but it is also in walking distance of all the shops
you could need. St Marychurch shopping precinct, which is pedestrianised, is well served with a grocery store, bank, chemist, newsagent, restaurant, hairdresser, an award winning
fishmonger, butcher, baker, pet shop, clothes shops, chutney shop etc. etc. The nearest beach is Oddicombe. It is either a steep walk down from the top
of Babbacombe Downs, or the easier way, which is what we did, is to take the cliff railway. I can also recommend the little cafe at the top, which is great
for ice creams. We also had a cream tea at Angels, which was very good.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms. There is a double bed in the main bedroom with a lovely cherry coloured laminate floor. Our sons used the 2nd bedroom which
has 2 single beds and there is also a bunk bed smaller room. It was nice that there was a separate dining room, where we enjoyed some nice family meals.
The house was very clean and welcoming.
