Situated one mile from the centre of Minchinhampton and on the edge of the Gatcombe Park Estate, this accommodation provides an ideal base from which to explore this beautiful and historic area. The cosy, spacious and self contained first floor holiday home at the rear of Hyde Wood House offers much charm with its high beamed ceiling throughout. Hyde Wood House garden extends to 1/2 acre and can be used for recreation. The setting is very peaceful and is the ideal place to get away from it all and just relax. Minchinhampton nestles in the southwest side of 600 acres of National Trust common land. The common is ideal for walking and enjoying the stunning views across the Severn Vale from the western edge. Gliding, golf and riding are available locally. Cotswold Water Park provides most aquatic sports and pastimes.
A prominent
building is the Market House in the centre of the village and offers a
choice of shops, pubs, and restaurants. The accommodation is
situated within easy reach of Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bath, Oxford and
the Cotswolds Hills. The accommodation comprises entrance hall with
spindled staircase leading to an open plan kitchen and dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, hob, microwave and
fridge. The lounge is comfortable furnished and equipped with
television and an audio entertainment system. It is just the place
to relax after a full day sightseeing. The double bedroom has an
ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Facilities include a
ground floor utility room with automatic washing machine and all bed linen
and towels are included.
Please note the Woolsack is a non-smoking establishment.
Heating and electricity is charged by meter reading (6p per unit for heating and 13p per unit for electricity). Guests are only charged what the owners have to pay.

Short Breaks
Short breaks are currently not available at this cottage, but guests are welcome to book the cottage for a week and stay for a shorter period, as the pricing is already very competitive.
