Whatever the season, this fascinating cottage enjoys glorious waterside views in its unique setting between the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal and the River Severn estuary. One of a little row of three (door and six windows shown right), it lies on the fringes of Purton village, about 1½ miles from the local pub, and only 2 miles from Slimbridge, where visitors will find bicycle and narrow boat hire, and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. A host of attractions lie within an easy drive including Berkeley Castle. Tetbury, Bath, Gloucester and Cheltenham are all easily accessible. Pub serving food 2 miles, shop 3 miles.
