bedroom Devon holiday cottage
The accommodation affords truly spectacular panoramic views over the River Dart, Dartmouth, Dart estuary, Darthaven Marina, the Britannia Royal Naval College and upstream towards Dittisham. The end of terrace period stone cottage was built in 1880 in a sought after position and was refurbished and redecorated in July 2004.
The
cottage sleeps 4 people and is a great location for boating, beach,
walking and relaxing holidays, or those wishing to explore Devon and
Cornwall.
The spacious Lounge/Dining Room has an exposed stone chimney breast with open working fireplace, a storage heater and electric fire. There is also a 3 piece suite (two leather armchairs & a 2 seater sofa), colour television, DVD, CD player, video, music system, dining table & chairs. The owner has provided a variety of books, details of visitor attractions and board games for your enjoyment. The full length French windows lead out onto the patio with table and chairs, which enjoys uninterrupted views and the sun from morning to sunset! There is also a 2nd sheltered sun terrace within the front garden. A feature of the patio is an old ship's anchor that has been made into a table with attached lanterns, as shown in the photograph above, which is a wonderful location to enjoy a drink and the panoramic river views of Dartmouth and the harbour. There is also a bar-b-que.
There is also a broadband internet connection available for guests use. Guests should bring their own computer, modem and cables.
The kitchen has a range of modern cupboards and electric four ring ceramic hob, fan oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, sink, cupboards, cutlery, crockery, iron, ironing board, etc.
The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, storage heater, radio alarm clock and bedside lights.
The second bedroom has two single beds, radio alarm clock, wardrobe, bedside cabinet, storage heater and bedside lights.
The shower room has an electric shower, toilet, sink, electric fan heater and immersion heater.
Car Parking
At the top of the steps on Ridley Hill Road, or in the Kingswear village car park, Darthaven Marina.
As we are situated at the top of the village we do not suffer from the through traffic using the ferries, or visitor parking problems that are associated with other parts of Dartmouth!
Access
Via 53 steps down from Ridley Hill Road, or up from Fore Street.

Short Breaks
Short breaks are available at this cottage in low season and if booked at short notice, on the basis of 1/7th of the weekly rental per night plus £20. Minimum charge £100.
