bedroom Yorkshire holiday cottage
Beautifully situated on a strip of land between the sea and the Humber Estuary and just minutes away from the birdwatchers, paradise and nature reserve at Spurn Head. The beach is a stones throw away, and there are both seafront and river walks. The cottage has open views to the sea and a private garden.

Spurn Point was recently featured on the BBC documentary "Seven
Wonders of Yorkshire" (see right for picture). It is a truly
unique place in England, situated on the north bank of the entrance to the
river Humber. It is three and a half miles long and in places only
50 metres wide. Today it is home to a nature reserve. It is
very good for bird watching, fishing, walking or just a family day
out. There is also a very striking black and white lighthouse.
The lighthouse is not used today. It was closed in 1986.
The seaside resort of Withernsea is just along the coast, while the historic towns of Easington and Patrington are within easy reach. There is a pub and a hotel in the village as well as an English Heritage tearoom, next door! The nearest pub and restaurant is the Crown & Anchor, which is 1/2 a mile away.
Accommodation
The cottage has 2 double bedrooms and 1 with bunk beds. There is also a real log fire in addition to central heating. The fully-equipped kitchen includes an oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and iron. The living room has a TV, video player, radio, CD system and a selection of board games. There are a selection of videos and books available (mainly aimed at children, but some are suitable for adults as well). There is also a dining room, den and bathroom with separate shower.
Linen and towels are provided, as well as fuel for the fire and a welcome pack.
The private garden is complete with barbeque and garden furniture. There is also a trampoline for children (please note that children must be supervised by an adult at all times).
