Morwenna is four bedroom detached cottage, situated on the outskirts of the 13th century village of Gorran Haven on the south coast of Cornwall and just 600 yards from a safe sandy beach and harbour. The village is made up of a cluster of fishermans' cottages, surrounding a secluded, unspoilt cove. This large and comfortable cottage has its own garden and is in a tranquil setting. The cottage is within easy walking distance of shops and a nice pub which serves good food. It makes an ideal base for guests to visit the nearby Mevagissey, with its narrow, ancient streets and the Roseland Peninsula with its numerous sandy beaches. The scenery along the coast in this part of Cornwall is simply stunning. The famous Lost Gardens of Heligan are just 5 miles away and a little further guests can enjoy St Austell, the Eden Project and Charlestown with its tall ships sheltering in its Georgian harbour. There is cycling available in the Pentewan valley and golf at Carlyon Bay. The city of Truro is 19 miles away and offers restaurants, shops and a theatre and also recommended is Lanydrock House and Garden (National Trust) which is just 22 miles.
