Five bedroom Breton holiday cottage

Kermat is a five bedroom farmhouse in the little village of Ploerdut in the Morbihan area of Brittany.  It overlooks a well and a courtyard.   The spacious open plan, fully equipped kitchen and living area has a wood burner and Sky digital TV and a DVD.  There is also a washing machine, dish washer and 90 litre/5 burner gas oven.  On the ground floor there is a double bedroom decorated in a 'French style' with an antique French bed, open fireplace and a bathroom with shower. Upstairs there are two further double bedrooms, one with a spectacular beamed ceiling, two twin rooms and a wet room style shower/toilet.  

The gite has access to large gardens, which are shared with 2 other gites.  There are several small BBQs as well as a larger shared one.

There is also a cot and highchair available.  Pets are welcome, although owners are requested to keep their dogs on the lead as there are a lot of farm animals around.  

How to get there

There are now many options for travelling to Brittany.  You can find out about ferry sailings from Brittany Ferries.  Alternatively Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Dinard and Brest.  Kermat is 2 hours from St Malo or one and a half hours from Roscoff.  The village of Ploernut is 1 km away with the market town of Guemene sur Scorff a further 10 minutes drive.  The nearest restaurant and local store is just 1 km away.  

Facilities

The prices include normal use of electricity, gas, water and a small welcome pack which may consist of a bottle of wine and complimentary free range eggs from the local hens.  Salt, pepper, tea towels, dish cloths and washing up liquid are also provided.  There is an extra charge for linen and for wood for the log fire.  Bed linen is charged at 12 euros per double and 10 euros per single (payable on arrival).  The beds prepared ready for your use when you arrive.  Logs (depending on season and availability) approximately 6 euros per basket.  However there is no charge for use of the cot and highchair, eggs from our free range hens, produce or herbs from our garden, borrowing videos, babysitting, assistance with French at the doctors/garage etc., short taxi rides to the local restaurant on special occasions! 

A refundable Security Bond will be required for this property and to be paid locally.
