bedroom Breton holiday cottage
Ker Hann is pretty two bedroom stone cottage situated in the peaceful village of Riglovan in the magnificent Côte d'Armor region of Brittany. Surrounded by gently rolling countryside the south facing property has been tastefully restored by the British owners and is furnished with antique original pine furniture. The living room is tasteful and comfortable with a woodburning stove and central heating. The gite has beamed ceilings throughout. Outdoor dining can be enjoyed on the sheltered terrace to the side of the property and fishing is available by the river closeby to the house. There are many cycling tracks around the village, ideal for exploring the countryside and only 4 kms away is Bosmealeac lake for swimming and hiring canoes. The larger Guerledan Lake is 15 miles away. The historical and medieval town of Montcontour is well worth a visit and further afield (40 minutes) the north Brittany coast offers white sandy beaches, water sports and fishing ports. The area is also ideal for ornithology, drawing, painting and horse riding.
The house sleeps 5 people in two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed and the 2nd bedroom has 3 single beds. A cot is also available on request. The ground floor contains the open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room. The kitchen appliances include a washing machine. The bathroom contains a bath, shower and WC. The property is self contained with everything you need. The house has central heating for low season lets. There is also a BBQ and garden terrace and a wood burning stove. All linen is provided. Rentals all year. No pets allowed. No smoking.
Home cooked meals can be provided by arrangement and there is also a pub nearby.
The
house is 75 miles from the nearest ferry ports, St Malo and Roscoff or one
and a half hours drive from Brest airport.
