Two bedroom Yorkshire holiday cottage

Bridgemasters House is located in the little village of Cawood on the outskirts of the city of York. It has been tastefully refurbished and is double glazed as well. The house was once the home of the Bridge Master and is next to the bridge over the River Ouse, as well as a selection of pubs and village shops. The town of Selby is just 4 miles away, which has a market twice a week and a public swimming pool. The city of York, which is just 10 miles, is definitely well worth a visit and particularly recommended would be the medieval walls, Yorvik Museum, the Railway Museum and of course the Minster. Other tourist attractions in the area include Castle Howard, Rievaulx and 'Heartbeat' country. Sports available in the area include golf, fishing and water skiing.

The accommodation consists of two bedrooms, a sitting/dining room with an ornamental range, TV with freeview, DVD and Video player. The fitted kitchen and utility room is equipped with a microwave, freezer, larder fridge, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. On the first floor can be found a twin bedded room and a double room with a four poster bed and an ensuite bathroom, which consists of a bath with shower attachment and WC. There is also a separate bathroom with bath/shower.

Linen and towels are provided as well as central heating. There is a highchair and cot available for babies. Parents of toddlers should note that there is an unfenced riverbank! No smoking allowed and the cottage is not suitable for the infirm. Outside there is a patio and parking is available on the roadside at 25 yards. Fishing is available locally, free of charge (licence required).
