Cosy, typical Breton
cottage, quietly yet conveniently located in the village of St Nicolas du
Pelem, and only 75 minutes drive from St Malo/Roscoff, and 70 minutes
drive from Dinard Airport!.
The cottage sleeps 4 people (two adults, two children), plus space for a
child's cot if required. Cot and highchair available in cottage by
request. We supply a welcome pack to start your holiday off with basic
foods (handy when you're tired and don't want to visit the supermarket
straight away)!!
There
are small enclosed, well fenced front/rear gardens, the rear garden being
something of a sun trap when sitting with a drink/barbecue etc. There is a
patio with furniture and barbecue, and primrose edged steps lead up to a
small lawned area.
The lounge is large with beams, and has a combined corner kitchen/dining
area. It is fully equipped with all home comforts i.e. English Satellite
television, Playstation 1, Super Nintendo, radio etc.
There is
electric heating in all rooms, and a log burning fireplace (lovely for
those cosy nights in with a good bottle of wine). Logs can be supplied for
the fire at a very nominal charge.
Local Activities
There
are plenty of opportunities to go fishing, and its not too far to drive to
the north/south coast beaches. The village itself has an outdoor heated
pool (open mid June-mid September with sun terrace, kids pool and
waterslide (our children love it)!!
The centre of St Nicolas du Pelem is 2 minutes walking distance with
ancient church, chateau, shops, bars and restaurants, small park with play
area, and tourist information office. There is a supermarket with petrol
station, an Italian restaurant/takeaway, boulangerie and charcuterie. (All
bars, etc., are within walking distance - perhaps a few minutes away).
Prepared walks through nearby woodland are fantastic. Our lovely cottage
is in a quiet location, yet close to local activity.

Changeover
day is Saturday, and to allow for cleaning from the last occupants etc.,
the cottage is available for occupation any time after 4 pm. (Other times
could be available by prior consultation). Vacation time from the cottage
is usually approximately 10am-10.30 am to allow us time to prepare the
cottage for other people.
Bed linen is changed once a week, and this is supplied, although if a
child's cot is used, then it is preferable to bring your own bedding for
this. We do not supply towels.
