They cluster around an attractively landscaped courtyard – open to the south and offering splendid views over a tapestry of fields and woodland to the distant hills of Dartmoor. Each property retains a high degree of charm and character, with original features such as oak roof timbers, joists, stone walls and beams, all carefully preserved. A short distance away, and attached to the owners' beautiful 17th century manor house is Bealy Court Lodge. This delightful property enjoys its own secluded terrace and garden.
Secluded and tranquil, Bealy Court is an ideal touring base, with the
wilds of Exmoor and Dartmoor to explore close by. The north Devon
coast, with its choice of golden beaches is a comfortable drive away.
Barnstaple and Tiverton, both with sports centres and Ilfracombe,
where sea fishing is offered, are all within easy reach. There are
several
large fishing lakes and reservoirs nearby and arrangements can
be made for local river fishing. A par 3 golf course is available in
Chulmleigh (4 miles), and there is a championship standard course 20
miles away at Saunton. Go karting, ten pin bowling and cycle hire are
all offered at Barnstaple, where there is also a Tourist Information
Centre. Horse riding is available locally and there are National Trust
properties nearby at Knightshayes and Killerton to visit and enjoy.
Antique hunters should make for South Molton, 9 miles away. ACCOMMODATIONThree
