Altamira is a 3 star complex and is situated in one of the newer resorts in South Tenerife, Costa Adeje. It is located in what is referred to as the exclusive El Duque region surrounded by the Rui Palace - El Duque Palace and Dreampalace a little further up. Nestled as it is amongst 5 star hotels, you will find yourself holidaying with some of Tenerife's finest guests and enjoying all the associated amenities that you would expect from this exclusive area.

The complex is attractive and friendly with pools and a beautiful garden area. The swimming pool has sun terraces and is heated in the winter months. There is also a pool side snack bar, restaurant, lounge bar, evening entertainment, and for the children a games room, table tennis, pool table and childrens' pool table.

The location is quiet and up market and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. It is also within easy walking distance of the fishing village of La Caleta (with all of it's popular fresh fish restaurants) and Fanabe/Torviscas (where you will find the nightlife plus all the shopping, bars and restaurants in this lively area).

The balconies are spacious and provide and ideal place for lazing in the sun, as well as a place for your alfresco dining! They all have spectacular views, as you can imagine from the above picture, both to the sea and pool. Some also have views of the magnificent mountains of Tenerife.

Altamira is popular with couples of all ages and for families. If you are looking for year round sun, a breath-taking pool area, high quality accommodation and a nice tranquil atmosphere, then this is the option for you.

There is a 24 hour reception available, which is located on the 5th floor. It includes a refurbished communal lounge area with a well stocked library. The complex has a satellite television system, which is piped through to all of the apartments. This does provide a selection of English channels, which have in the past included BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 4 (but please note that the selection of channels available can change and this is out of the control of the individual owners - it is not therefore guaranteed 100%) There is an excellent lift, which means that the apartments are suitable for families as well as people with walking difficulties. The lift goes directly from the 5th floor down to the ground floor where the swimming pool, bars and restaurant can be found or to the security gate and out onto the promenade/beach area. There is direct access from the complex to Bahia del Duque beach - just a short stroll away. It is reputed to be, by some, the best beach in the whole of the south of Tenerife.

The apartments all have fantastic views and the standard of the accommodation is very high. Sport and leisure activity in the area includes cycling, fishing, golf, nightlife, sailing, tennis, walking and water sports.

Taxis can be booked via reception (they come within a few minutes). There is also a room dedicated to storing cases for clients on their last day, in case their flight leaves later than their departure from the apartment. There is also a large car park available for guests.

The complex has wheelchair access. It is possible to hire a cot from reception.
